AN UPDATE

 

I know I have remiss in my postings, but this time I have a very good excuse. My computer crashed, so I had to format it & put everything back on. Each time I do this it takes longer as I am getting older & need more frequent breaks. I’m up & running again, just a warning.

Sharon & I had a great evening at church. I’m so glad I went as my good friend Simon is home on leave with his lovely wife. Simon will be going over to Afghanistan in a few months. He is pretty excited about it, we all prayed for him during the service. We came home & I called our daughter & grandkids. The kids have passed & advanced into their respect grades for next year. That was good news. We also learned that Annie loves her Daddy very much & thinks he is very special.

Mother has been feeling better the last while, so we ended up going to the beach as it’s been very hot & humid here all last week. Someone forgot to tell the water to warm up though. Oh well I went for a swim anyway, froze my forehead, so no real damage done. I have a couple of videos I’ll put up, so you can laugh along with everyone else.

 

 

 

 

Last Friday Sharon went to the Red Rally here in town, & here are some pics of that event. Can’t believe we are one of the only places which do this for the troops.

Jaxon & Annie love to have fun, but I have to say that just looking at Annie's face you can see how much she loves life. She's not afraid to live it. We can never overstate how much we Love & Miss these kids, but God has a reason why they live far away.

ANOTHER OF OUR BRAVE GONE.

 

Cpl. Martin Dube was killed last Sunday while trying to disarm an IDE. This particular bomb was a direct threat to the civilian population because of it's location. This was an especially brave & selfless act.

This is the kind of people we have in our Armed Forces. Brave & selfless. We all should be proud of our troops, & we should tell them so. Please pray for all our people in the Military & Support them as much & as possible as you can.

Please pray for Cpl. Dube's family. Ask God to give them strength to get through this very difficult time. Also to recognize his great Bravery & sacrifice.

JAXON & ANNIE JUST CAN'T STOP

 

 

It' another end to Jaxon's Karate Lessons & Annie's Ballet. Well they have been on a tear again this season. I really shouldn't brag or anything, but I have to bring their achievements to light. I don't have any video of Annie yet, a couple of pictures, but no video. First up is Jaxon, take a good look & see who is standing on the number 1 platform & check out the gold around his neck.

His new belt, he's still moving up. Have a look at this cutie. At the risk of getting killed I'll say it. She looks exactly like her mother & I have plenty of pictures & memories to prove it.

ANOTHER OF CANADA'S BRAVEST LOST

 

 

Pte. Alexandre Péloquin, 20, was killed earlier this week in Afghanistan. He was a well liked young man, & a courageous one. These brave men & women know exactly what they are doing when  they sign up for the military.

 

They know that someday they will be sent somewhere to put their skills & training in use. They know the dangers, they know what happened to Pte. Alexandre Péloquin, yet they still go out day after day to do their jobs.

 

             

If anyone can't stand up behind them, support them, or encourage them, then try standing up in front of them. You'll even get paid to do it, but I don't imagine we'll get any takers on that one.

 

Please keep the Péloquin Family in your prayers during this difficult time for them. PRAY & SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.

DATE NIGHT

 

 

 

 

It has been so long since Sharon & I had a proper date night. On Thursday we decided to go & see a movie. We picked Star Trek. This movie is one huge adventure from the opening scene till the end credits. One big thrill ride, plenty of action, tons of special effects, it was something to see. Trekies would really appreciate this movie as it goes right back to the beginning from when James T. Kirk was born until he becomes the official Captain of the Enterprise.

 

 

We get to see Kirk & Spock when they, well, when they didn’t like each other. Watch their relationship grow & prosper. Had to say that. All of the old crew were there, just younger. The casting was brilliant as some of the crew did actually pass as the younger version of the ones we knew.

 

Even if you haven’t seen any Star trek movies or the TV Show, it is still a very good movie, you’ll enjoy it. You can’t help but to, it sucks you in.

 

Sharon & I highly recommend this movie for any of all ages. There was not any bad language, proof a great movie can be made without profanity. We really enjoyed our date night.

ENJOYED A BEAUTIFUL DAY

 

I know, I know, I’m very late posting this, but the weather has been so great all week, who wanted to be sitting in front of their lap top writing. Last Sunday, Sharon was feeling pretty good so we went to the morning church service. As usual we were glad we went, something about that church, & we got to see a lot of our  church family.

 

 

After church Sharon still had a lot of energy, so we went for a drive to Cavendish.

We had a great time driving slowly enjoying the wonderful scenery, & some of the attractions were open. When the afternoon was finished we went to the evening church service. We had a busy, but great day, we thank the Lord for the opportunity to enjoy the day.
