GOOD NEWS

Yesterday we received some good news from our Daughter Jennifer. Her, & her husband & two children live in Ontario. Jenn has been thinking of going back to work since the kids have gotten a little older, she did run a day care out of her house, but she wanted to go back to work.

She had an interview on Monday & Tuesday, found out Wed. that she got the job. She's pretty excited, as this will of course supplement their income. Maybe a first payday could come in handy for Christmas.

1/2 NIGHT OUT

Sharon was feeling pretty good again today & today was payday for me, so I decided to take her out to a movie. We went to see Australia, it was the first night for the movie, but we got good seats anyway. Only problem was, about 1/2 hr. into the movie the picture & sound were upside down.

I can't figure that out, as this was supposed to be the first showing of this movie here in town. The reels were screwed up, nonetheless, we all received passes which we can use within the next year. I was also disappointed even before the movie started, because it was being shown on one of the smaller screens, that just did not do the movie justice. It needs to be on a proper large wide screen, some of the shots we saw were beautiful & would be more so on the bigger screen.

We tried, & we have two free passes. I'd really like to see the rest of Australia, it was just getting good when the reels messed up.

A LOVELY DAY

TRACADIE, PEI

Yesterday Sharon was feeling a bit better. It was a glorious day, so we went for a drive to Summerside, about an hour or so from here. Of course we used to live in Summerside years ago when we first moved to the Island.

On the way home we stopped in at Harvey's General Store in Crapaud. We lived across the street from the store not too long ago. We then made the short trip to Victoria, or Victoria By The Sea, the proper name. Of course we used to live there. It is my favourite place on the Island, someday we will return to Victoria to live out the rest of our days.

This morning I got up, looked out the window & got the camera. We have a great view of the Hillsboro Bridge from Stratford right over to Charlottetown. The temperature at the time was -10, you see in these pictures what that does when the water is still warm.

IT'S BEEN TWO MONTHS

It's been two months since I posted anything. I'll put up some pics. of my sister in Kandahar. She came home alright, but was immediately posted to the HMCS Halifax, which is based in Halifax. She was only home here not even a month, then gone again. At the end of January she's off to Bermuda, & she gets paid for it, must be nice. Anyway here's some pictures, I will post more stuff, I've got pics of the grand kids, you know how much I love to show off the grand kids.
